Customs earns Rs77m surplus revenue during 25 days of Jan

ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad collected surplus revenue of Rs463.22million under the head of Customs Duty during 25 days of Financial Year January 2016-17 while the collectorate was assigned the target Rs386.29million.

According to details told by sources of MCC Islamabad that the collectorate has collected more revenue of Rs76.93 million against the assigned target under the head of Customs Duty during the 1st January to 25th of January FY16-17.

The sources said that during the above said period, the customs station Islamabad Dry Port collected Rs292.70million, Air Freight Unit did revenue of Rs172.75million, C-Bond earned revenue of Rs0.08million and UAB collected Rs0.23million under the head of Customs Duty.

The sources added that during the initial 25 days of January FY16-17, the customs station AB B collected revenue of Rs2.09million, IMO, DFSL and Arrears record collected revenue of Rs0.38million under the head of Customs Duty during the above said period.

The sources further said that during the above said period, the MCC have paid Rs5million under the head of Refund and Rebates during the above said period.
