Customs Enforcement collects Rs 20955m duty and taxes

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement has collected over Rs20955 million duty and taxes during the ten months of financial year 2019-20 (July to October).

Sources told Customs Today that the customs enforcement collected Rs 20123 million duty and taxes against the purposed target for the period under review from the Allama Iqbal International Airport. Similarly the collectorate collected Rs 691 million from Lahore against the set target of Rs2402 million under the given period.

On the other hand the Collectorate of Enforcement Lahore collected Rs 140 million from the Collectorate of Multan against the given target of Rs303 million. On the whole the newly established Collectorate of Enforcement collected Rs 20955 million against the set target of Rs 23386 million for ten months of the financial year.

It is necessary to mention here that Chief Collector Zeba Hai Azhar has directed all relevant customs departments to adopt comprehensive strategy to meet revenue collection targets.
