Customs eyes P15.36M revenue from MICP auction

MANILA: The Bureau of Customs (BOC) expects an estimated P15.361 million in revenue from a public auction sale at the Manila International Container Port (MICP) on November 22.

The BOC, in a statement, noted that MICP’s Auction and Cargo Disposal Division will bid out 17 lots of various goods, which include a two 40-footer containers of white sugar and Richboss synthetic black shoes with floor price of P2,040,040.00.

There are also three 20-footer containers of refined sugar from Thailand that was pegged at P1,793,750.00 and five 20-footer containers of wheat flour worth about P1,323,600.00.

Other items up for auction include one 40-footer container of various bags, wallets and shoes, at P2,990,600.00; 24 20-footer containers of angle bars at P1,218,000.00; four 40-footer containers of steel angle bars at P178,786.00; and two 20-footer containers of hot dipped galvanized steel coil in sheet at P1,385,760.00.

Also included are used terrain vehicles, a used 2005 Harley Davidson Softail motorcycle, school supplies and calculators, household goods and personal effects, foam board, vacuum excavator, parts for a paper making machine, used farming machine and parts, glassware, and refrigerant gas R22.

Public viewing of the merchandise and pre-bid conference is on November 18 and 21 at the Conference Room, Office of the District Collector at the MICP.
