PESHAWAR: Customs authorities have foiled an attempt to smuggle of 0.4 million Saudi Riyals to Saudi Arabia and arrested the accused at Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar.
The accused, Mohammad Zada, resident of Tehsil Matta, district Swat, was going to Jaddah through a private airline and during search, the personnel of Pakistan Customs recovered a huge cache of Saudi Riyals from his bag.
The Customs officials took the Saudi Riyal into their possession and after arresting the accused, registered currency smuggling case against him.
The value of the seized Saudi Riyals has been stated to be over Rs11 million in local market.
