Customs foils bid to smuggling 200g heroin

ISLAMABAD: The customs staff seized 200 grams of heroin powder from a parcel booked for Canada here at International Mail Office (IMO), Islamabad.

The customs staff, during clearance of export registry parcels at IMO Chaklala, seized the parcel bearing number RB 055756721 PK following the recovery of contraband drugs.

The parcel was booked by Dadja Khan Resident of Islamabad and the said parcel was sending to Nahim Khan 310 Cook Road, North York Ontario, Canada.

It was also told that the parcel comprising two greeting cards were examined thoroughly that led to the recovery of 200 grams of heroin powder, which was concealed inside cards.

FIR has been lodged against accused with Customs Investigation and Prosecution branch under Customs Act, 1969 and further investigation is underway.
