LAHORE: The Customs Lahore GPO has foiled two bids to smuggle 1,250 grams heroine worth Rs 450,000 during March 2016.
According to details, the Customs GPO registered two FIRs against Waris Khan son of Salman for smuggling 950 gram which was valued at Rs 350,000. The accused attempted to smuggle the heroine to the Netherlands.
The second FIR was lodged against Muhammad Zeshan son of Akbar, a resident of Lahori Bazzar. He tried to smuggle 300 grams of heroine to Spain. The market value of seized heroine is Rs 0.1 million.
In both the cases, the accused are still at large and the Customs I&P Department is conducting raids to reach the accused parties.
In FIR registered against Zeshan, it has been investigated Zeshan’s ID card was fraudulently used by the criminal elements as Zeshan had lost his card a few days before the incident took place.
