LAHORE: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has collected Rs 2.3 million through auction of a vehicle and Indian cashew. The auction was held at the Customs office located in Iqbal Town the other day.
The directorate put 14 foreign made vehicles, including Mercedes Benz, Toyota Progress, Honda Accord, Toyota Premio, Mark-X, Wrangler jeep and others miscellaneous item for auction. However, only one vehicle and Indian cashew could be sold. It was said that the dealers showed least interest in the vehicles and other items due to exorbitant prices.
The vehicles and the other items would again be put for auction following revision of the prices of vehicles and other miscellaneous items.
The sources said that the next auction would be held after Eid-ul-Azha for which the public would be invited to take part in the auction on the given dates. The auction will be done on as it and where basis.
