Sources told that information was received to the effect that smuggled / non duty paid Iran origin HSD would be transported through Hino oil tanker from Hub Chowki to Nooriabad for its further disposal and illegal sale.

The Customs I&I staff intercepted a Hino oil tanker near Toll Plaza Mochko, Northern Bypass. Upon cursory checking, the Hino Oil Tanker was found loaded with High Speed Diesel.

The driver was asked to produce legal import documents regarding legitimate import, lawful possession and transportation of the High Speed Diesel loaded in the said Oil Tanker. In response thereto, he produced Goods Transfer Note purportedly issued by M/s Byco Petroleum Pakistan Ltd showing therein delivery of 50,000 Liters HSD oil, to the customer namely Shahjahan Petroleum Services Nooriabad.

During examination of the cabin of the aforesaid Oil Tanker, another Goods Transfer Note purportedly issued by M/s Byco Petroleum Pakistan Ltd, mentioning therein exactly same seal serial numbers, weight, product dip and print time but different print date and customer namely Burki Petroleum Services Nooriabad, was recovered from the cabin.

Moreover, during preliminary verbal inquiry from M/s Byco Petroleum Pakistan Ltd, it was known the Goods Transfer Notes were fake. The goods were seized and FIR is lodged against the driver of the vehicle Ghulam Hyder and others to be ascertained later.
