Customs I&I teams sent after accused at large in marijuana case

LAHORE: Customs Investigation and Prosecution (I&P) department constituted teams to arrest accused who is at large in smuggling case of 400grams of marijuwana, Investigation Wing official told Customs Today.

According to the sources, during investigations, it was reveled that Muhammad Khan of Lahore, Muhammad Nawaz of Saray Alamgeer Gujrat and Qamar Shahbaz of Gujranwala were also addressed on the parcels of “marijuna’ smuggling case and the I&P has constituted to arrest the accused parties in the case. The teams have been sent to arrest the accused from their dwelling places on their address.

The accused Muhammad Asam, who is said to be the brother of one other accused, was arrested when he came to receive the parcels.

Customs Preventive Lahore General Post Office (GPO) seized millions of rupees 400 gram very rare drug ‘Mari Jawana” from a parcel on Monday. The detected the drug from a parcel which was very tactfully raped in a parcel, which was sent from Norway.

The drug was estimated at Rs 7 million while it would have to be sold on much higher prices had it been a successful attempt by the elements involved in the crime.
