ISLAMABAD: During an anti-smuggling operation, the customs mobile squad seized contraband goods worth Rs 780,000 on Saturday.
Islamabad Customs Deputy Collector Shahid Jan told Customs Today that a mobile squad led by Superintendent Zargam Dil made successful seizure at Lahore-Peshawar GT Road while foiling a smuggling bid.
The officials seized 363 kilogram of break pad disks for vehicles worth Rs 82,700, new tyres of Yokohama brand worth Rs 103,950 and one offending vehicle Suzuki Pick Up bearing Registration No WAK-582worth Rs 583,610.
Jan said that FIR No 30/2016 has been registered against the accused person with Investigation and Prosecution, Islamabad.
