Deputy Collector Asma Hameed issues two ONOs

FAISALABAD: Deputy Collector Adjudication Asma Hameed has issued two Orders-in-Origin (ONOs) in favor of the Anti-Smuggling Organization, Mianwali, and Field Investigation Unit  Khushab.

Sources told Customs Today that a customs team seized non-duty paid dates which were being transported from Karachi to Islamabad on a trailer bearing registration no. FLTA- 818 near Toll Plaza MM Road Mianwali. The owner of the goods was identified as Shakir Nadeem and he failed to produce legal documents regarding possession of the items.

While ASO Mianwali intercepted a Marcedes Benz, registration no. Z- 8313 loaded with various skins of animals 38710 kilograms. The owner of the items Muhammad Hussain also failed to produce legal documents regarding ownership of the skin.

During the case proceedings, it was proved that the owners had failed to produce any legal documents regarding possession of these items. Customs Adjudication Deputy  Collector Asma Hameed, after hearing the arguments, issued ONO in favor of the Customs department.
