During the hearing, counsel for the respondents’ department requested for some time to submit para wise comments. However, counsel for the petitioner requested close date for hearing. Therefore, the court adjourned the hearing till May 24, 2016.

Earlier, the petitioner’s counsel stated that petitioner is filing his sales tax and income tax returns through e-filing systems. However, the petitioner was informed that his sales tax registration has been suspended on May 11, 2016 by officials of the tax authorities.

Citing FBR chairman, RTO-I IR commissioner and Investigation and Prosecution incharge as respondents, the petitioner pleaded the SHC to set aside impugned order of the respondents and restore the sales tax registration of the petitioner.
