Customs impounds vehicles, goods worth Rs.51.9m ‏

MULTAN: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation seized non-customs paid vehicles and goods worth of Rs 51.90 million during the month of April.

The Customs Intelligence teams conducted anti-smuggling operations in various areas of the Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan and Sadiqabad. The team impounded 14 non-customs paid vehicles during the extensive anti-smuggling operations in its jurisdiction. The Customs field intelligence unit Multan has seized the goods and vehicles of Rs 22.60 million. Most of the raids were conducted due to intelligence network created by Customs Intelligence and Investigation in Multan region.

At least 19 seizure cases were formed by the Customs Intelligence. The department seized various items worth Rs 19.20 million during successful actions in Dera Ghazi Khan.

Due to strict monitoring of the Customs Intelligence the officials impounds vehicles and contraband items worth Rs 10.10 million from Sadiqabad.

A majority of the cases has been forwarded to Customs Adjudication for its further proceeding and few of them are under investigation.
