LAHORE: The Excise and Taxation Department has sealed 78 properties in different areas of Lahore on non-payment of property tax. The department has also issued notices to more than 20,000 defaulters to pay their property tax with fine.
Official sources told Customs Today that following the directions of Director General Akram Ashraf Gondal, all regions have made special teams, which have started crackdown against property tax defaulters in Punjab
The excise sealed properties in different areas of Lahore, including Bahria Town, Faisal Town, Ferozepur Road and Raiwind. It has also collected Rs 4 million during special crackdown against property tax defaulters in Lahore.
The department sealed properties, as the owners failed to submit property tax even after many notices.
