Customs Intelligence impounds auto-parts, tea, schoolbags, trailer, flasks, red chilies, LTVs

FAISALABAD: The Directorate Investigation and Intelligence Customs Faisalabad has seized foreign origin (F/O) used LTVs, black tea, Rolex A brand vacuum flasks, red chilies, schoolbags and auto-parts besides impounding a trailer with registration No: JU-8585 near Sarai Muhajar, district Bhakkar, loaded with miscellaneous items in different raids.

Official sources on last Wednesday said the Customs Investigation and Intelligence intercepted a trailer coming from Rawalpindi loaded with Smuggled items. The team asked the Driver, Kala Khan Son of Gul Zaman, a resident of district Haripur, to show the legal documents regarding the import of the said goods.

He produced different bilties issued by M/s Al Saad Goods Forwarding Agency Rawalpindi regarding the miscellaneous items. The smuggling goods were being attempted to smuggle into Faisalabad and Jhang. The same trailer-fitted container used in the transpiration of smuggling goods has been impounded under Section 168 of the Customs Act-1969.

A notice under Section 171 of the Customs Act-1969 was served on the Driver and proprietor of truck stand. A seizure report of the case along with its enclosure has been submitted to adjudication.
