Customs intelligence impounds two vehicles worth Rs 4 million

FAISALABAD: Customs Intelligence and Investigation has impounded a non-duty paid Toyota Hiace van and truck worth Rs 4 million in Khoshab.

As per details, Customs intelligence intercepted Toyota Hiace bearing registration No. VQU-050 near Girode Chowk, Khoshab. The intelligence team asked the driver Abdul Rehman to produce legal documents of the vehicle but he could not prove the legal possession of the vehicle on which customs impounded the vehicle worth Rs 1 million involving duty/taxes amounting to Rs 825,000.

On the other hand, customs also made confiscation of a non-duty paid truck worth Rs 3 million involving duty/taxes of Rs 1.7 million. The intelligence team impounded the truck in Khoshab near bus stand.

Team asked the driver, Waseem Anjum to show the documents pertaining to the possession of the vehicle. But he remained fail to comply with the instruction on which custom impounded the vehicle.

Customs intelligence staff including Superintendent Malik Javaid, Inspector Muhammad Bashir Ahmad, Muhammad Shahbaz, Sajjad and others conducted operation against non-duty paid vehicles.
