Customs Intelligence officers resume offices after attending DGTR’s training session

KARACHI: Officers of the Directorate General of Customs Intelligence and Investigation will resume their duties from today after attending two days training workshop.

As per details, four senior officers of Customs Intelligence-Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) and Enforcement attended the session from Monday to Tuesday here at the Directorate General of Training and Research (DGTR), Karachi.

The senior officers including one director, two deputy directors and assistant director of Customs Intelligence-ASO and Enforcement were selected by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for participation in training session.

The officers were given training on the ‘Advanced Effective Government Messaging and Communications from Ideas to Execution Level II’. On the first day of the training at the DGTR, Principal Rana Tasleem Akhtar gave the opening remarks.

It is pertinent to mention here that all training activities of the Pakistan Customs department are handled by the Directorate General of Training and Research (Customs). The DGTR has been supporting FBR in its initiatives of capacity-building of its employees.

In addition, DGTR has been working closely with other stakeholders, private sector organizations, and trade bodies for conducting tax and trade related seminars and workshops.
