Customs Intelligence seizes smuggled vehicle

MULTAN: Customs Intelligence and Investigation has impounded smuggled non-duty paid vehicle during an action.

As per details, Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan Range office have impounded the foreign vehicle Honda Aria from Dera Ghazi Khan Region. Field Intelligence unit of Dera Ghazi Khan got authentic information from their informer that a smuggled vehicle bearing registration number BBD-047 model 1996 was coming from Taunsa Sharif.

Customs Intelligence and Investigation deputed the staff to intercept the vehicle at the main point of the Dera Ghazi Khan Region .The field intelligence unit impounded the vehicle and asked the driver to produce import documents but the driver of the car failed to provide any document regarding ownership of vehicle. Customs staff  seized the vehicle on the non-availability of import documents.

The worth of the vehicle was almost rupees one million and a duty tax on the vehicle was also worth one million rupees.

Customs have formed the seizure report against seized vehicle. Further investigations were still under process till the filing of this report.
