Customs Intelligence seizes 20 chassis, illegal number plates

KARACHI: Quetta Directorate of Customs intelligence and Investigation has seized 20 chassis of mini-trucks and illegal number plates and arrested two suspects during the action.

As per the details, Director Customs Intelligence received information that smuggled chassis and number plates were kept at a warehouse located in Faran area of in Quetta city, which will be supplied to other cities. The director formed a team under the supervision of a deputy director to curb the smuggling.

The team raided the warehouse and found 20 chassis of mini-truck and more than 100 fake number plates. The team seized the items and arrested two persons who were involved in smuggling. While the investigation of the accused it revealed many times new and as a parts cars brought in this warehouse and supplied into other cities. The name of owner of this ware house is Babo how came here rarely. Accused further told that the luxury cars were brought from Afghanistan and Baluchistan. Customs officials told that the value of seized items is more than Rs 5 million.
