Customs intelligence seizes 27,000 liters smuggled Iranian oil‏

MULTAN: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized 27,000 liters Iranian furnace oil during an anti-smuggling activity.

According to details, a Customs team took action against an oil tanker which was passing through clandestine route of the region. Source told Customs Today that a Customs squad took immediate action against container coming from Balochistan.

Customs have intercepted the oil tanker near Sakhi Sarwar route Dera Ghazi Khan bearing registration number of TTB/15/Lasbella. The Customs team asked the suspects to produce the original documents of the Iranian furnace oil to prove it lawful possession.

Following their failure, the Customs teams seized furnace oil with tanker by forming advance information report. The total value of the seized furnace oil is Rs 1.2 million.
