Customs Intelligence seizes drugs worth Rs 450m in February

ISLAMABAD: Directorate General Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has seized hundreds of kilograms of different kind of drugs in country wide operations in one month. The value of the drug is Rs 450 million in international market.

Sources told Customs Today that Customs Intelligence arrested 14 suspects and registered eight criminal cases against them.  As per figures of the Directorate General Islamabad, Customs I&I Anti-Smuggling Organization staff caught 12.120 kilogram heroin worth Rs  110 million in international market. They also seized 1,594.600 kilogram hashish worth Rs 320 million in international market and 44 kilogram opium worth Rs 20 million.
