Customs Intelligence seizes non-customs paid cloth worth Rs4m

LAHORE: Customs Intelligence and Investigation Lahore seized fifty thousands meters of non-customs paid cloth worth Rs 4 million.

The sources told Customs Today that on information the customs I&I team raided Bilal Traders Cargo opposite Niazi Bus Ada and seized the fine quality of cloth (Boksy) from the Ada.

The sources said that the cloth was booked by Alsamad Traders of Rawalpindi in the name of Shaukat and Shahazd of Lahore.  The non-customs paid cloth was sent from Rawalpindi to Lahore to dump in the local market of Lahore.

The cloth was seized on the directions of Customs I&I Director Saud Imran Ahmad. The Customs team led by Superintendent Yasin Malik and other.

The sources said that the customs authorities after registering a case against the accused parties have started further investigations to reach the accused persons involved in the case.
