Customs Islamabad collects Rs5759m of all taxes single-handedly from Interior Ministry

ISLAMABAD: The MCC Islamabad earned Rs5759million of all taxes single-handedly from the Ministry of Interior which had imported different kinds of euipments for its Safe City Project.

According to details explained by official sources of the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad that above said amount provided a huge increase in the revenue collection otherwise it would have been difficult for the collectorate to meet the assigned revenue target for 2nd Quarter under all the heads.

The collectorate has achieved its seven-month (July to January) FY17-18 revenue target in advance by receiving above said amount from the Safe City Project. It was added that the MCC Islamabad has been allocated Rs1260million under all the heads for the month of January FY17-18. The collectorate had already earned Rs4315.74million surplus amount under all the heads against an earmarked revenue target for 2nd Quarter FY17-18.

The Collectorate of Islamabad collected an extra revenue of Rs4315.74million against an assigned revenue collection target of all duties and taxes during 2nd Quarter Fiscal Year 2017-18. The collectorate generated Rs7853.65million as all taxes during 2nd Quarter (October to December) FY17-18 while it was allocated a revenue collection target of Rs3537.84million while MCC Islamabad earned an extra revenue of Rs4161million of all duties and taxes during 2nd Quarter FY17-18 against the 2nd Quarter of previous Financial Year (FY) 2016-17.
The MCC Islamabad got Rs3692.59million under all the heads during 2nd Quarter of FY16-17. During the month of December FY 17-18, the collectorate collected Rs3338.79million extra revenue against an allocated target under all the heads. The MCCI got Rs4639.53million against an earmarked revenue target of Rs1300.79million under all the heads. The Collectorate of Islamabad earned Rs1210.75 million under the same head during previous December FY16-17.
During the month of November FY17-18, the collectorate generated an extra revenue of Rs275million under all the heads against an assigned revenue collection target. The MCCI received Rs1521.28million under all the heads during said period whereas it was allocated Rs1246.21million under all the heads. The MCCI collected Rs1558.09million under the same heads during previous November FY16-17.
The Collectorate of Islamabad generated an extra revenue of Rs702million under all the heads against a target earmarked for the month of October FY17-18. The collectorate generated Rs1692.84million under all the heads during said period while it was earmarked a revenue collection target of Rs990.84million. The collectorate got Rs923.75million under the same head during corresponding October FY16-17.
