ISLAMABAD: The Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad received an extra revenue of Rs1195million as Customs Duty against an earmarked revenue collection target of 2nd Quarter of Financial year 2017-18 while it earned an extra revenue of Rs1335million under the same head against the same period of Fiscal Year 2016-17.
According to details given by Saeed Khan Jadoon, Collector Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Islamabad, that the MCC Islamabad received Rs2703.80million of Customs Duty (CD) during 2nd Quarter (October to December) FY17-18 against an allocated revenue collection target of Rs1508.60million whereas the MCC Islamabad generated Rs1335million as CD during the same period of corresponding FY16-17.
The collector appreciated the brilliant performance of the customs staff of the MCC Islamabad by recovering outstanding revenue during above said period. The collectorate got revenue of Rs1621.43million against an assigned revenue collection target of Rs549.93million as CD during the month of December FY17-18 whereas the collectorate collected Rs486.67million under the same head during the same period of FY16-17.
The collectorate earned an extra revenue of Rs1071.5million against an earmarked revenue collection target during the month of December FY17-18 while it generated an additional revenue of Rs1134.76million during December FY17-18 against a revenue collection during the same period of previous FY16-17 under the same head.
The collector told CT that, during the month of November FY17-18, the collectorate received Rs514.68million revenue of CD against an allocated target of Rs493.60million while it collected Rs436.81million under the same head during the month of December FY16-17. The collectorate got Rs21.08million more revenue than an assigned revenue collection target for the month of November FY17-18 while it earned Rs77.87million additional revenue under the same head against the revenue collection during December FY16-17.
The collector told CT that the MCC Islamabad generated Rs567.69million as CD against a collection of Rs465.07million during the month of October FY17-18 while it received Rs411.58million during FY16-17 under the same head. The collectorate earned a surplus revenue of Rs102.62million against an allocated revenue collection target for the month of October FY17-18 while it collected Rs156.11million more revenue under the same head against the revenue collection during October FY16-17.
