Customs Islamabad posts 50.36 percent growth during just 10 days of January

ISLAMABAD: The MCC Islamabad displayed a revenue with a 50.36% average of achievement during initial 10 days of January against an earmarked revenue collection target of all duties and taxes for the whole month of January FY17-18.

According to details given by Saeed Khan Jadoon, Collector Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad, that the Collectorate showed satisfactory performance during above said period against an assigned monthly target. The collectorate was allocated a proportional revenue target for initial 10 days of January FY17-18 in amount of Rs447.15million while it earned Rs634.15million as all taxes. The Collectorate of Islamabad has been assigned a revenue collection target of Rs1260million under all the heads for the month of January FY17-18.
The Collector told CT that the Collectorate of Islamabad earned Rs522.17million under all the heads during initial 10 days of corresponding January FY16-17. The collectorate showed 142% average of growth during 10 days of January against a revenue collection of the same period of January FY16-17.
Saeed Khan Jadoon said the Islamabad Collectorate got Rs211.33million as Customs Duty against an allocated proportional revenue target of Rs215.76million during first 10 days of January FY17-18 whereas the collectorate generated Rs299.82million against an earmarked revenue collection target of Rs149.05million under the head of Sales Tax.
The Collector Islamabad notified CT that the collectorate collected Rs122.22million against an allocated revenue collection target of Rs78.82million of Income Tax while the collectorate was received a revenue of Rs1.28million against an assigned proportional revenue collection target of Rs3.52million as Federal Excise Duty.
