Customs Khushab FIU impounds non-duty paid Hino truck

FAISALABAD: Customs Intelligance and Investigation Field Investigation Unit (FIU) Khushab seized non duty paid Hino truck model 1997 made in Japan bearing registration No. SBA-824 (Sibi ) worth Rs 3 million with also involves taxes worth Rs 17,08,800

Sources informed Customs Today that Additional Director Custom Intelligence Mrs. Azmat Tahira received credible information about some smuggling attemts after which she constituted  a raiding team comprising Chaudhary Saeed Hayat, Muhammad Saleem and Muhammad Ilyas (IO) and sepoys Masood Iqbal, Muhammad Shehbaz, Musadiq Ahmad, Muhammad Ashraf, Muzamil Hussain and Muhammad Anwar.

The above said team intercepted a Hino truck near Shahpur and asked driver of the vehicle who was identified as Habibur Rehman son of Dawood Khan to produce legal documents regarding possession of vehicle but he failed to provide any relevant documents. FIU team seized the truck and forward the case to customs adjudication.
