Customs Kohat Station collects Rs 47.32 in October

PESHAWAR: The Kohat State Ware House has collected Rs 47.32 million during the month of October of current Financial Year 2017-18 which is Rs 5.6 million more than Rs 41.72 million which was generated during October of previous Fiscal Year 2016-17.

The Deputy Collector at Kohat State Ware House Fazle Shakur informed Customs Today on Wednesday that Rs 5.59 million Customs Duty was collected in October which is more than Customs duty which was collected in October of previous FY 2016-17.

The Kohat State Ware station collected Rs 18.94 million under the head of sales tax along Rs 3.26 million which was collected as ST on VM com imports. The Kohat Station also collected Rs19.53 million on items in which Rs 9.29 million were collected in wage of A.I.T on exports.

The deputy collector further said that a total number of seven attempts of smuggling were frustrated by Kohat Customs Mobile squads and efforts will be done to earn more revenue in current month of November.

It is necessary to mention here that Customs Collectorate of Peshawar under the supervision of Collector Gul Rehman is using all available resources to generate more revenue.
