Customs Multan blacklists firm for any public proposal

MULTAN: The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has blacklisted a firm for two years on the directions of the Finance Division.

The Finance Division purchased CCTV system from M/S Olive International (Pvt) Limited at Jinnah Avenue Blue  Area Islamabad on less than one year warranty. During the warranty period, the cable converter and LED of the system were gone out of order. The firm was asked to repair the said goods under the purchase contract through Finance Division.

The contractor Olive International (Pvt) Limited was contacted couple of times telephonically for the repairing of cable converter and LED of the system but the firm refused the responsibility. However, the competent authority decided to take notice against them after issuing final notices to the firm for hearing but no company representative attended the hearing.

After that it was established that M/S Olive International (Pvt) Limited did not fulfill their obligations for the terms and conditions of repairing and maintenance of CCTV camera and the firm has been blacklisted for two years from participation in public interest of government organizations in terms of rule 19 of the public procurement rule ,2004.
