Collector Customs Muhammad Saeed Jadoon lauded the performance of the MCC Peshawar and said Pakistan Customs will take every step to provide good infrastructure and environment for traders in order to generate more revenue.

The collection showed by different customs stations has been satisfactory and further steps will be taken to increase the collection of Hazara Customs Station and auction cells.

Collector Customs Muhammad Saeed Jadoon said the MCC Peshawar not only achieves the revenue collection target but also surpasses it which means that the collectorate has the capacity to achieve new milestones in revenue collection.

The collector customs lauded the performance of officers and officials of Pakistan Customs posted at different stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The collector customs further said the smuggling is a curse which not only damages the genuine trade but also causes the treasury big loss as products are traded without paying taxes to the government. The duty of customs staff has been increased and more officials are needed to be deployed in Pakistan Customs as it has become a law enforcement force rather than a tax collecting agency.

The collector assured that soon new steps will be taken to upgrade the Dry Port Peshawar in order to encourage the traders and eliminate the problems which frustrate them.
