ISLAMABAD: The Customs North Region generated extra revenue of Rs139.01million of duties and taxes during first 20 days of September Financial Year (FY) 2017-18 against the same period of corresponding September 20th FY16-17. The North Region collected Rs1640.84million of all taxes while it did Rs1501.83million under the same head during initial 20 days of September FY16-17. The North Region comprises Customs Collectorates of Islamabad, Peshawar, Samberial and Gilgit Baltistan.
According to details explained by sources that, during above said period of FY17-18, the Collectorate of Islamabad earned Rs144.48million additional revenue against the same period of last Financial Year FY16-17. The sources told CT that, during initial 20 days of September Fy17-18, the Islamabad Customs received Rs623.33million as all duties and taxes whereas it did Rs481.85million under the same head during September FY17-18.
The sources further told CT that, during first 20 days of September FY17-18, the Collectorate of Peshawar got Rs97.43million extra revenue against FY16-17. During above period of FY17-18, the Peshawar Collectorate generated Rs830.30million while it did Rs732.87million as all taxes during the same period of FY16-17.
The Collectorate of Samberial received Rs15.50million under all the heads during 20 days of September FY17-18 whereas GB did Rs168.72million of all taxes during initial 20 days of FY2017-18.
