KARACHI: The Customs officials who have been reshuffled from their postings at the Customs House by the Federal Board of Revenue and their re-posted in the Board have shown grave concern saying that the devoted and committed officials are sidelined in the process.
As per the rule, an officer is supposed to perform duties in the field for at least five years and later he would be transferred and posted in the Board. However, nowadays, the Board is transferring and posting young officials into the Board instead of replacing those sticking with the same post for more than seven to eight years, the official told Customs Today.
In the same manner, the committed officer Rehmatullah Vistro was sidelined and inducted in the Board, killing his capabilities to improve the performance of the Pakistan Customs, the official opined.
