KARACHI: The officers of the Directorate General of Transit Trade held a meeting with clearing agents and representatives of transport operators and the TPL Trakker company.
Sources told Customs Today that the customs authorities discussed matters pertaining to Pak-Afghan Liaison Committee in Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta.
The meeting also discussed the technical-level working group for resolving operational issues of the Afghanistan-Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement (APTTA) and issues pertaining to collection of duty/taxes at the Pakistan seaports on Afghan transit cargo. Issues relating to single revolving guarantee on Afghan transit goods were also discussed.
Later, the customs authorities held a meeting with the representatives of the Pak-Afghan Liaison Committee and technical-level working group in the conference room of Appraisement-South Chief Collector Nasir Masroor Ahmed.
