Port Qasim Customs collects Rs504b as CD during FY17-18

KARACHI: Customs Collectorate of Port Qasim collected Rs155 billion as customs duty against last year’s collection of Rs130 billion thus registering growth of 19.2% year-on-year basis.

The share of Post Qasim Customs is 25% in total collection of customs duty of Rs605 billion by the customs wing of FBR during the year 2017-18.

It is also necessary to mention here that Port Qasim Customs also recorded unprecedented growth of 21.6% in total revenue collection from Rs414 billion to Rs504 billion year-on-year basis in Fiscal Year  closed on 30th June, 2018. Thus Port Qasim Customs contributed significant share of 30% in total revenue collection by the FBR.

The superb achievement occurred owing to the teamwork under the motivational leadership of Port Qasim Collector Ch Muhammad Javaid.
