ISLAMABAD: Model Customs Collectorate Islamabad Preventive has seized foreign origin smuggled goods worth Rs 23.89 million during September 2015.
Deputy Collector headquarters Yawar Nawaz told Customs Today that during the course of anti-smuggling activities in September 2015, the collectorate impounded two vehicles valued at Rs 2.8 million, 1100 kilogram of smuggled cloth worth Rs 700,000 and smuggled cigarettes worth Rs 1.1 million.
He added Preventive division has also seized smuggled electronics items including DVDs, cell phones, CD players and 1,234 kg of smuggled tea worth of Rs 2.8 million collectively.
