Customs Preventive foils bid to smuggle 90 android mobile phones

LAHORE: The Customs Preventive has seized 90 smart phones from a passenger who had arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport, sources told Customs Today on Monday.

According to details, the customs authorities intercepted a passenger Muhammad Imran who was using green channel and thoroughly checked his luggage and found 90 android mobiles worth Rs 3 million.

The sources said that the accused is a resident of Gujranwala and was coming from Dubai. Sources added that the customs AFU authorities registered a case and seized the mobiles.

On the other hand, Assistant collector Sumar Tarar told media that the Lahore Preventive has taken strict measure against all type of illegal import and export from the airport.  He said that people involved in smuggling activities will be dealt with an iron hand.
