Customs Preventive installs ticket-machine at ICG to facilitate traders

KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate Preventive Collector Tariq Huda for the convenience of the importers and customs agents has installed a “ticket-machine” at Immediate Clearance Group (ICG), it is learnt here.

The collector directed the authorities concerned deputed at Jinnah International Airport and Air Freight Unit (AFU) to ease the trade through a proper mechanism, so that the importers and clearing agents could not get any problems in their cargo clearance at airport.

Through the ticket-machine, the visitors can easily meet with the officials concerned at AFU as the designations of officers are mentioned on the ticket-machine. The designations of assistant collector-I, assistant collector-II, deputy collector-I, deputy collector-II, additional collector-I and additional collector-II are mentioned on the machines.

The trade bodies applauded the step taken by the Customs Preventive Collector Tariq Huda, adding that the introduction of “ticket-machine” will certainly help execute the working scenario swiftly.
