KARACHI: The Customs Collectorate Preventive is likely to utilize at least Rs 789.863 million as expenditure for the fiscal year 2016-17.
According to sources, the Collectorate has worked out a plan, highlighting the overall expenditures of the field formations for 2016-17.
The employees-related expenses have been estimated at Rs 643,721,000, including pay Rs 413,080,000, pay of officers Rs 283,756,000, pay of other staff Rs 129,324,000, allowances Rs 230,641,000, regular allowances Rs 224,446,000 and other allowances, excluding TA, Rs 6,195,000.
While operating expenses at Rs 102,884,000, communication Rs 1,611,000, utilities Rs 27,201,000, occupancy costs Rs 35,449,000, motor vehicles Rs 1,000, travel & transportation Rs 13,903,000, general 24,719,000, employees retirement benefits/pensions Rs 9,178,000, grants, subsidies and write off loans Rs 3,000,000, transfers Rs 13,576,000, scholarships Rs 13,000,000, technical assistance Rs 1,000, entertainment and gifts Rs 575,000, physical assets Rs 4,502,000, computer equipment Rs 800,000, purchase of transport 2,000, purchase of plant and machinery Rs 3,000,000, purchase of furniture and fixture Rs 700,000, repairs and maintenance Rs 13,002,000, transport Rs 5,000,000, machinery and equipment Rs 1,600,000, furniture and fixture Rs 600,000, building and fixture Rs 5,200,000, buildings and structure Rs 5,200,000 and computer equipment Rs 452,000.
