Customs Preventive recovers narcotics worth Rs15m near Railway Station

LAHORE: Collectorate of Customs anti-smuggling squad recovered huge quantity of narcotics from Toyota Corolla car near Railway Station.

Sources told Customs Today that Collector Preventive Ahmad Rauf received credible information about the smuggling of narcotics. He immediately constituted anti-smuggling squad under the supervision of Inspector Muratib Mushtaq which also included Mohammad Imran, Abdul Najeeb Khan, Nasir Mehmood, Tariq Mehmood and Naveed Mustafa.

The anti-smuggling squad intercepted a Toyota Corolla X car bearing registration no: LEG15-1907 which was coming from Do Moria Pul road. After noticing the anti-smuggling squad, the driver parked the vehicle and successfully fled away.

During checking of vehicle anti-smuggling squad recovered a red shopper bag in which ice heroin, and crystal ice were tactfully hidden. The net weight of crystal ice is 90 grams and weight of heroin is 520 grams.

Customs anti-smuggling squad seized the narcotics and registered a case against accused person. Sources told that net value of recovered narcotics is Rs15 million in market.

It is necessary to mention here that Collector Preventive Ahmad Rauf has already directed all anti-smuggling squads to adopt zero tolerance towards smuggling of narcotics, anyone who found involved in narcotics smuggling should be dealt with iron hands.
