QUETTA: The Model Customs Collectorate Quetta received an additional net revenue collection of Rs1390million as Customs Duty during the first half (July to December) of Financial Year 2017-18 against an earmarked revenue collection target.
According to details given by Ashraf Ali, Collector Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Quetta, that, during above said period, the collectorate generated Rs4175.659million of Customs Duty (CD) while it was assigned a revenue collection target of Rs2785.800million under the same head during the first half of the current Financial Year (FY) 17-18.
The collectorate earned Rs1937.00million of extra revenue under the head of CD against the first half of corresponding FY16-17. The collectorate generated Rs2238million during said period of FY16-17.
During the month of December FY17-18, the collectorate showed 52% average of achievement against an earmarked revenue collection target while it achieved 86% average of growth through collection of December FY17-18 against a revenue collection during the same period of previous FY16-17 as CD.
Ashraf Ali informed CT that, during December FY17-18, the collectorate got a surplus revenue collection of Rs912million of CD whereas it was assigned a revenue collection target of Rs.601 million. The collectorate earned Rs491million as CD during corresponding month of December FY16-17. The collector notified the correspondent that, during the month of December FY17-18, the collectorate collected an extra revenue of Rs311million against an allocated revenue collection target while the collectorate generated Rs421million of extra revenue against a revenue collection of CD during the same period of previous month of December FY16-17.
The collectorate eraned Rs890million against an assigned target of Rs592million as CD during the month of November FY17-18 whereas it did Rs854million against an earmarked target of Rs547million under the same head during October FY17-18 while the MCC Quetta generated Rs442mllion against an allocated target of Rs378million of CD during the month of September FY17-18.
During the month of August FY17-18, the collectorate fetched Rs648million against a target of Rs437million and the Quetta Customs received Rs426million of net revenue against an earmarked revenue collection of Rs228million under the head of CD during the month of July FY17-18.
