Bashir Ahmad attempted to smuggle 800 grammes of pure heroin via GPO Sahiwal.

However, when the Sahiwal GPO transported the consignment to GPO Lahore, it was revealed that the parcel weighing 6,600 grammes containing 16 ladies dresses was hiding four packets wrapped in a brown paper. The heroin is said to have millions of rupees worth in the international market.

The parcel was carrying the address of Saad Rafique, Green Lane, Post Code No B95QQ, Birmingham, UK.

In the second case, the Export Section seized 400 grammes of pure heroin hidden in ladies suits in the similar fashion. However, the heroin was booked at the GPO Lahore.

The MCC Appraisement Investigation Cell has seized the heroin and registered two separate first information reports (FIRs) against both accused under CNSA Ordinance 1997 Sections 6, 7, and 14.

The FIRs have been registered on the complaints of Customs GPO Export Cell Inspectors Habibullah and Syed Wasim Raza.

The Customs Investigation and Prosecution Cell has started raids to arrest the accused.
