Customs seizes 800 cell phones from man at Torkham border

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Customs staff deputed at Torkham has seized 800 cell phones recovered from a pedestrian who was held during checking at Pak-Afghan border.

According to the details, the accused was trying to slip into the Pakistani territory when customs staff stopped him during pedestrian traffic checking and recovered smuggled mobile phones from his possession.

The officials of Custom Station Torkham said that non-type approved equipment such as cell phones were a significant security threat for country.
