Customs seizes heroin destined for UK

RAWALPINDI: Officials of Pakistan Customs at Benazir Bhutto International Airport have recovered a huge quantity of heroin powder from a passenger destined to board the flight bound to fly to United Kingdom.

When the passenger, Zulfiqar Ahmed Khan, from Attock, entered into the international lounge of the airport at 2:10 a.m. to board a flight, scheduled to proceed to Manchester via Dubai at 3:20 a.m., he was intercepted by the Customs staff. When his baggage was searched thoroughly, one kilogram of heroin powder was recovered from cones of ‘mehndi’.
