Customs seizes smuggled cigarettes from Shah Alam Market

LAHORE: The Pakistan Customs’ Anti-Smuggling Organisation has seized huge quantity of smuggled cigarettes from Shah Alam Market.

According to the official sources, a Customs team conducted the raid at Shah Alam Market following a tipoff. The raiding team was supervised by Superintendent Waqaar Cheema, said an official, adding that a few porters were shifting cartons of cigarettes to somewhere when the team reached the spot. The porters managed to flee, leaving cartons behind. The raiding team took the cartons into custody and shifted them to warehouse.
