KARACHI: The customs department from now on will assess value of pangasius fillet fish of Vietnam/Myanmar at $1.72 per kilogramme and rohu fish at $2/kg.
As per details, Customs Valuation Director Wasif Ali Memon initiated an exercise to re-determine the customs values of the said items and issued Valuation Ruling No 947/2016.
Earlier, the customs values of subject fish were determined vide Valuation Ruling No. 544/2013. Since the said valuation was 3 years old and needed revision in the light of values prevailing in the international market.
