Hyderabad Customs seizes contraband items worth Rs18.88m in September

HYDERABAD: The model customs collectorate Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO), Hyderabad seized contraband items and two vehicles worth Rs18.88 million in September.

Customs Collator Aghah shahid Majeed told Customs Today that in the smuggled items included a Hino Truck and a Toyota land cruiser worth Rs1.88 million in September 2016.

Following the instruction of the collector the ASO team started anti-smuggling campaign in the region under the super vision of Additional Collector I Rehmat’ullah vistro additional collector II Omar Shafique Deputy Collector Nafees Ahmad Khan, Saleem Channa deputy superintendent Sikander Pahnwar, Deputy Superintendent Anwar Ahmed Siddiqui, Inspector khair Muhammad Pathan, Inspector Waqar Ahmed Baig, Inspector Shafi Muhammad jamali inspector mushtaq Ali Lakho sepoyes Usman Jonejo Muhammad Isa and other staff participated in raids.

As per the details the (ASO) team seized 30,850 dandies of cigarettes worth Rs7.712 million involving duty to Rs11.171 million, sachets worth Rs1.824 million, Indian gutkha worth Rs9.1 million, Hino Truck worth Rs6.296 million bearing registration No TKC100 model 1985 and other items.
