Customs Tribunal adjourns five cases as judge was on leave

ISLAMABAD: The Customs Appellate Tribunal Bench-II on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of five cases pertaining to the Customs Department as the judge was on leave.

A division bench of the Customs Appellate Tribunal comprising Technical Member Muhammad Nasir Khan and Judicial Member Masood ul Hassan was scheduled to hear the cases. The bench did not hold hearings as Muhammad Nasir could not reach the office.

As result of the development, as many as five cases were ‘dated in the office’ and the tribunal would resume hearings after the office schedule another date of hearing.

Out of five, two cases were filed by Pakistan Oil Limited, Rawalpindi, and Mari Gas Private Limited against Rawalpindi Customs collector and Islamabad Customs collector. Customs department had filed two references against Pakistan Oil Limited, Rawalpindi and Mari Gas Private Limited.

Another case was filed by customs department against Lasmo Oil Company Private Limited.
