ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Finance has directed Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to use video-link facility in order to hold meeting with the officials of field formations instead of paying visits to them physically, it is learnt.
According to the details, Finance ministry has issued instructions in this regard after noticing that FBR’s officers off and on visits to regional offices for holding meetings which are increasing departmental expenses.
Official sources informed that such measures have been taken to reduce the expenses of government, adding that FBR has facility of technology to organise meeting through video-link with officials of other regions in order to review their revenue collection performance and for other purposes.
