Dar chairs meeting of Laws Review Committee

ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting of the Laws Review Committee.

The meeting discussed media reports that some bills that were passed by the Senate had lapsed since the National Assembly session had not been held.

The meeting also reviewed in detail the progress for passage of the Anti-Money Laundering Amendment Bill 2014 as well as SBP Amendment Bill 2015. The two bills are under deliberation of the Senate Standing Committee which has asked for further information on them.

The meeting directed the officials concerned to ensure that the information required was submitted to the Senate Standing Committee as early as possible.

The meeting was attended by the Attorney General, Salman Aslam, Minister of State for IT, Anusha Rehman Khan, SAPM on Economic Affairs, Barrister Zafarullah, SAPM on Law, Ashtar Ausaf, SAPM Khawaja Zaheer and Member National Assembly, Zahid Hamid.
