Dar likely to announce package for traders on March 1, 2016

ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will announce a package for traders on March 1, 2016. The package has been designed after negotiations between the government and traders.

Sources at FBR told Customs Today that about 90 percent issues related to the package have been settled while discussions on some other points are underway.

Sources added that Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Revenue Haroon Tareen and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) chairman played a crucial role to make the negotiations successful.

“If package is announced on March 1, 2016, it will be implemented from new fiscal year 2016-17,” they said

The working capital and turnover were two major problems for traders and industrialists, which are addressed in this package.
