DC Adjudication Saima serves show cause notice on owner of NDP corolla car

FAISALABAD: Collectorate Customs Adjudication Deputy Collector Saima Ayaz has issued a show cause notice to the owner of the Non-Duty-Paid foreign origin Toyota Corolla car smuggled into the country without payment of duty and taxes.

The Field Customs Anti-smuggling Organization Faisalabad intercepted a Toyota corolla car bearing registration No: LEH-17-4457 near Khurianwala Toll Plaza Faisalabad. The person sitting on the driving seat introduced himself as Mian Maqsood. To a query, Superintendent Tanveer Raza Naqvi of Anti-Smuggling Organization team asked the owner of the vehicle to produce any relevant and legal documents regarding the possession of the vehicle, but he remained failed.

The customs team took into possession the vehicle and forwarded the case to the Customs Adjudication for further legal proceeding.

Deputy Collector Saima Ayaz issued a show cause notice to the owner and asked him to appear in person in the office of Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication on the next date of hearing along with the legal documents and evidences.

It is to mention here that the Collectorate Customs Adjudication has expedited its efforts to conclude the hearing of pending cases on priority basis.
